Post subject: Torque Specs
Archived from groups: alt>volkswagen>beetle (more info?)

Hey Guys,

I'm hoping someone will have this information for me, before I put the
flywheel back on the car. I need the torque specs for a 1.6 Turbo
diesel. I have a 94 golf and I picked up a good working 1.6 TD out of
86 Jetta. It had a burn't clutch and tranny is on its way out.

My 94 Golf has a good tranny and newer clutch on it. Everything looks
like its going to line up fine but I noticed those bolts are really
tight to get the flywheel off. I now need to put the good flywheel and
clutch on the 1.6 TD and I need the specs as I think I should torque
that thing down correct before I start putting it back in the car.

Thank for you help.

KC

And you posted this in alt.volkswagen.BEETLE because...?

Try rec.autos.makers.vw.watercooled (USA)
or uk.rec.cars.vw.watercooled (UK)
where your subject is more relevant ;o)

HTH

Although, actually I do think I can help you with your query, I'll get back
to you with the numbers ;o)
