I'm going to do my best to describe this. Hopefully someone will have a good idea what I'm talking about. I test drove a 98 taurus (105k miles) today. All was well, at first. About 7 minutes or so into the drive, at about 35-40 mph, I started hearing a noise that sounded like it was coming f..

Hello; I have a 2000 Taurus that recently started making a noise when starting. It sounds like something is rattling around inside the engine. Almost like someone put a nickel in the area where the starter meets the flywheel. This was preceded by an overall hard time getting the car to start. ..
« Rondo: My guess is that you're missing teeth on the fly wheel. The part is not that expensive. Getting the engine out to change the part is, however. You might also just have a bad starter. Jeff »

I have a 2002 taurus with 3.0LV6 engine which makes a sound like something unbinding when I start backing the car out of the space after sitting overnight. It only occurs this one time each day. It seems to be coming from the right front. Only happens when the car is first moved after sitting ..

I have a 98 ford taurus it periodically has a whistle noise in the engine compartment nothing seems to make it better or worse. I was told my alternator was over charging so I replaced it. BUTTTT it still does it but not all the time. any suggestions

One day when it was raining i went through a puddle of rain with my 2000 Taurus and ever since that day the car has been makin like a chirppin noise and the mechanic doesn't know what it is! Can someone please help me? what could it be
