I have a vauxhall astra comfort, for a couple of days now there is a
constant drilling sound when i turn on my headlights!I have looked at the
light and i think it is the motor which dips the headlight beam,I have
fiddled with it but it continues to make the noise.I would disconect it
but i am worried about the conection getting damp and having further
problems.Does anyone have any ideas????

It sounds like the motor is at fault, you can disconnect it and keep it
taped up, or remove the fuse, make sure the fuse doesn't run any other
outlets. good luck
