Post subject: Steering wheel plastic scraping noise

Hi, Hopefully someone can advise me on this problem im having.

Had the steering wheel off the other day to reposition it. however it seems to be too close to the dash now and the plastic is scraping off plastic. Its definately on correctly and in the correct position and drives fine but I imagine there is supposed to be a little gap between the wheel and dash - there isnt anymore and as a result the plastic on the steering wheel is scraping on the plastic of the dash part when i turn the wheel.

I should also mention that the indicators no longer auto turn off either.

Anyone any ideas on how to fix it or what might be causing it? thanks

Sorry - ive just noticed the Hyundai Accent forum - i should have mentioned this is a 99 Hyundai Accent im having the issue with

Remove plastic flanged cap without breaking - Is there a tool or something to remove the plastic caps holding down the vent grill? The cap snaps and the center pin disappears down some crevice.

HyundaiTech : Is there any space above the WheelWell plastic - Id like to add some 3/8" insulation with alum. foil exterior if there is space. It dramatically cut down on road noise with my other car. Thanks.

Front wheel bearing, XG350. Can it be done without all the.. - Looking at my service manual there seems to be a number of special tools required to do a front wheel bearing. But it also looks like one might be able to get around most of them. Anybody ever done one and have advice? Or would I just be better off...
