I recently purchased new spark plugs and wires for my 99 Ford Ranger. I have the 4 cylinder 2.5 liter, for those of you not familliar this engine requires 8 plugs. That's right 2 per cylinder. I'm having trouble getting @ the two rear ones on the intake side. Tried to remove the throttle body t..

At what mileage should spark plugs be changed on a 2003 Mountaineer V8? Currently I am at 70K miles and I seem to recall that someone said they are hard to remove at the recommended 100,000 miles. Outta I do this now or just wait?

How often should you change your spark plugs, I have a 2000 honda Accord. I still have the orignal plugs in. The Honda Parts Dealer told me that you don't have to replace them till 100,000 miles. he also said that the Platinum Plugs are $17.00 each, Can anyone concur?
« With the new plug that they put in cars today they last a long time. I don't think 100,000 miles. $17.00 is a bit steep for any plug including Platinum. I say them selling for $5.00 around town a.. »

« Because Honda was putting platinum plugs in 91-95 Legends, and they said to replace them at 60k. The only reason they would suggest 105,00 is to keep up with the "100,000 mile tune-up" fad. Accord. »
« Yeah the Platinum plugs are $17 at the Honda dealer. They are $3 at Wal Mart. The recommended change mileage is 100,000 miles. »
