I have a 2003 Honda Accord 4 cylinder with 100,000 miles and want to replace the spark plugs. I looked through the owners manual and I can not find the correct spark plug gap. I am planning to use the OEM type of plugs NGK. What gap should they be set at?
« The gap should be listed on the underhood sticker. In addition, if you're using NGK's, then you likely won't need to worry about the gap but you can still check them for fun. The plugs are laser g.. »

« I'm I've only used those helicoil inserts once but can't find a good site on how to put them in. This is a slightly different mechanism (never used these) but may give you an idea: Perhaps someone.. »

I have a dodge raider with a broken spark plug in the engine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it out??

« If you have snapped the "nut" off, blast it good with Liquid Nitrogen, CO2, or Freon to chill it quickly and hopefully break the "rust" holding it in. Then carefully remove with EZ out. Or heat the .. »

I just bought some spark plugs for my 1985 Chevy Truck and got online to double check that they were the right ones on AC Delco's website. They gave me R43TS and the website said that they were correct for a 305 "F"series engine, but I have a 305 "H" series which is supposed to get R45TS. Will th..
« The only differencebetween them is the heat raqnge of the plugs. 43's are a bit colder than 45's. If it had 43's in it and they were burning clean, stick with them but if the were dirty, loaded up o.. »

« It's hard to check spark plug wires with an ohm meter. Basically, anything above 100k is "broken" but below that is fine. If the wires are working, why do you want to fiddle with them? I have .. »

I just replaced the spark plugs on our 2001 normally aspirated I4 PT Cruiser. I checked the service manual and was surprised that the intake manifold had to be removed to gain access to the plugs. What a poor design. It was the most complicated tune-up I have ever done. It took me about two hour..

This is my first Explorer and I'm looking for suggestions, and/or advice, on the best/easiest way to change the spark plugs on my '98 Explorer V8? Would removing the fender liners/skirts make the job easier? TIA, Steven

AM going to buy a compression tester for 92 Volvo 740 w/ B230FT engine. The spark plug type is Q16RU11. Need to know what size adapter I will need to use with this Volvo. At least that is the plug type called for in my Haynes which covers thru 91 model.... probably the 92 model used the same typ..

Hi there I need to buy some spark plugs for my 2001 E46 330ci M54 for the next service. I don't fancy paying BMW prices, so a number of questions: Who makes the plugs for BMW for this model? Are the NGK (BKR6EQUP) and Bosch (FR78X) plugs comparable in terms of life? TIA Nick
« If the NGK and Bosch part numbers are the correct ones for your car, then there shouldn't be any questions as to them working for you. After all, BMW does NOT make spark plugs, it just sources them .. »

What is the best way to check for spark on these new cars? Way back before solid state, we would just pull one of the plug wires and put a spark plug in the end of it and ground the plug and crank the engine. Is there a better way using a piece of test equipment? bob
