Small block chevy 350, one of the rocker nuts comes loose on a regular basis and I have even bought brand new rocker nuts to try and fix the problem but it still comes loose. Can I "double nut" the rocker nut? (put 2 nuts on it which I believe would hold better) Or, should I install a new stud? ..
« Replace the studs (all of 'em) and the nuts (all of 'em). Don't 'double nut' this... Sometimes a double nut will allow pulling a stud, sometimes vicegrips, and always a stud puller works. Some part.. »

Anyone know the height measurements for the old style small block chevy valve covers- tall style versus short style? One of my valve covers looks to be warped, it is leaking (I put in new gaskets, which didn't help), and I'm trying to figure out the best valve cover style to purchase. Terry M.

I would just like to go on record that not every truck has to have a big block in it. Granted i may be looking out the window at my 89 Silverado that has a 440 in it, but that doesnt mean we all have to jump on the same big band wagon. Let's hear it for the small blocks people!
