True? Care to speculate or tell why?
« I've heard nothing about such a thing. Side air bags are standard equipment for the '05. Should be in the seats. »

http://Hyundai-SantaFe.autoboardz.com/Elantra-seat-covers-side-air-bags-ftopict205142.html (Elantra - seat covers and side air bags)
When I first got my 2003 Elantra I considered front seat covers, but heard that there was an issue with possibly obstructing the deployment of the side air bags (which are in the seat backs). I'm thinking again that seat covers would be good and I wonder if covers are now available that don't ..

« Check the side of the seat-back for an SRS symbol. »
« I was going to say anywhere there is an airbag there is some sort of emblem or mark in the fabric stating airbag here. On my 2003 Jetta there are airbag emblems on the top outside corner of the seat.. »
« Crash it and count them when they pop out....just kidding Wink »
« Would this be accurate for deciphering your VIN to find out if you have side air bags? Of course it is best to not have to find out that you have them. lol »
