Archived from groups: alt>trucks>ford (more info?)

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer, 4WD, with about 65000 and I am having
some troubles shifting from first to second, and second to third. The
problem only occurs after a few minutes of driving. After the car has
warmed up, it shifts hard from first to second and even harder from
second to third. After about another 15 miles of driving, the 'Over
Drive Off ' light starts blinking, and it starts shifting better, but
slower. After my car is off for about an hour or so,it will shift
normal again when I drive off (again, only for a few minutes.)

Also, does anyone know where I can find the oxygen sensor on a 2000
explorer? Is it the same as a 1997 explorer mentioned below?

Transmission Shifting Issues - I have been out of town and my son says the transmission on my 2000 F150 Ford truck sometimes will not shift properly. It will run up to 4000 rpm's, and will not shift until letting off the gas a little. The fluid seems fine. What is the likely problem?

some stiff shifting on 3Liter / 5 speed - 1992 Aerostar, 3L, 5speed. 160,000 kilometers. 1 to 2 is stiff 3 to 4 is stiff. Sometimes putting it into 1 or R from a dead stop takes time also. It's not grinding, but there is a delay of about one second before I can push it into 2nd and 4th...

ABS sensor, will there be a recall? - In researching an ABS problem on a 2001 Explorer, I have found EVERYONE is having issues with them. Is there any plans of a recall on the rear sensors?

Bad Mass Air Flow Sensor? - wondering if anyone knows what the drivability symtoms are for one of these ? I pulled the codes ..and that is what it told me it was along with a bad temp sensor it also has a EGR code but my Van does not come equipped with one . its a 95 Ford Aerostar....
