Post subject: SIGNALS CUT OUT COMPLETELY. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM.

I have a 1991 LeBaron Convertible 3L. Problem with the turn signals. The original problem was a rapid firing of the right signal light. Changed the bulbs. Fixed it for a very short time. Problem came back. Checked fuses, grounds, bulbs, etc.. all good.

Took to dealership. They said the day time running light module needed replacing. In the mean time they did a wiring bypass at the module. Signal lights work 90% of the time now. The left exterior signal light comes on bright and stays on when the car starts. When the right signal light is turned on it will flash and both signals will work. If I turn on the parking/running lights the left exterior signal light comes on bright and stays on and the signal will flash on both sides. When I turn on the headlights, the left exterior turn light is no longer on bright and the normal running lights are on like they should be with the headlights on and the signals work. They will intermittently cut out completely. At this point I can make them work by turning on the high beams and slightly pulling the turn signal arm forward (like turning on the high beams) and moving the signal arm into the left or right turn signal position.

Parts replaced or repaired:
Replaced turn signal switch
Replaced daytime running light module.
Cleaned the wiring connections at the bezel and dash plugs.
Cleaned all ground conections under the hood.
Cleaned the light bulb pig tails and tested.

INTERMITTENT PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. SIGNALS CUT OUT COMPLETELY. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thank you kindly. Nicholas
