My 1990 LWB Shogun 3.0 petrol has adjustable rear shocks. The bottom bushes need to be replaced for the MOT. In their ' financially sound for the dealer ' wisdom Mitsubishi do not sell bushes on their own - only new shock absorbers at £ 177.00 each !!!!!
Has anyone got any suggestions of a fix at a more reasonable sum ?
Thanks

Do you have any thing like Supercheap or Autobarn outlets where you are, as
they usually sell poly rubbers for shocks. Or try a shop that fits shocks
they may sell the polyurethene rubbers as spares..

If you can't find a suitable bush at a suspension place, look at boat
trailer rollers as a source of suitable polyurethane stock from which a
bushing set could be machined. Ask around your area for someone who does
simple machining to order: there's bound to be someone.

Another possibility is a plastic supply house for stock material. Note that
nylon is NOT suitable for bushes as it both flows and fractures. Delryn is
also unsuitable as its way too soft.
