This is my project for this weekend. Are there any special tools required
or anything to watch out for?

I think that I may change out the power steering pump and change the Serp
belt at the same time. Same question: Are there any special tools required
or anything to watch out for?

Not sure on getting the fan clutch off the water pump. Old style four nuts,
some newer style the clutch threads on the end of the pump and requires a
special set of wrenches to get them off.
New power steering pump will not have pulley on it, and sometimes pulley has
to be removed to get to pump mounting bolts. Pulley is "pressed" on shaft.
there is a combo tool that will remove and install the pulley. Autozone
loans them for a deposit. NAPA and Sears sell them. price is reasonable.
also a belt tension tool makes changing belts a lot easier, again Autozone
loans them, Sears sells a pretty good one.
If going through all of this, change the belt tensioner as well. and
replace the fan clutch, don't buy a cheap one, get a heavy duty thermal. The
actual "clutch" should be about 10" in diameter, and about 2 inches thick,
and should have a bi-metal coil on the face of it that locks the clutch up.
Since both upper and lower hose have to come off, replace them. And
wouldn't be a bad idea to do the same for the heater hoses, and any bypass
hoses in the coolant system.
