Hello,

Anyone know how to release the timing chain tensioner on a Magna

Have just replaced the head gasket, but can't but the chain back on as
the tensioner is fully out,.,

Thanks

my Gregory's Manual doesnt say anything about it, and a friend of mine who is a retired diesel mechanic was stumped aswell..
We tried pushing it down and pulling it up and pulling it across..
Please let me know if u find a solution.

I just got off the phone with a mechanic, he says that my Magna has a
tensioner, but that it has no ratchet system to hold it out. So im
thinking its come all the way out or something and needs to be somehow
jiggled back in. Im gonna try first thing tomorrow.
