fiat punto wont start - hi im new to this forum and in desperate need of help. Im a 18 year old lad who just bought a 2001 y reg fiat punto elx. Been fine for a month or two. today after work however it just would not start, all dashboard lights come on, radio,

fiat punto sx 1997 - can anybody tell me what the noise is that is comming from the flywheel end of my engine,it seems to be a kerching noise but it does,nt occur all the time.is this a fault that should be dealt with sraight any ideas.) :(

i ihave a 98 punto 60 sx.

up to yesterday it started perfectly - 1st time

yesterday however the starter motor will not even turn - no sound is made (ie. indicating its on its way out or not enough power) i tried to jump start off another car - still the same so i pretty confident it isnt the battery - lights radio etc works.

i put the key in the ignition - code light comes on then off (as per usuall) so i dont think its the emobiliser

does any one know what it could be - is it normal for a starter motor to go just like that . usually they get a bit stook then work on and off?

on the starter motor is a solonoid try the wire to this a bad connectin could be the problem.
