Power Windows

i have a 91 accord, all four of my powerwindows have failed me, this has been going on for about a year, they work, then they dont, and so on. i have changed the the controller for the windows on the driver side door, i have also checked and rechecked my fuses, i recently changed the wiring connection from the driver side door to te driver side front quarter panel, and it began to work, BUT only for a few days b4 it failed me yet again. im lost confused and fustrated, any advice or tips on where to look and what to check, the motor should be fine because all 4 dont work, and i also checked wiring for any touching or cuts, one last thing is that when my windows do fail, my first level of my windshield wipers also fails but the 2nd and 3rd still work, it is bizarre. looking foward to hearing from you, thank you very much
