Does anyone know how to adjust the "timing" on a Maxima power window?
When I push the auto-up button, the window goes all the way up, and
then comes back down about 3 inches. When this happened in the past,
I took it to the dealer who charged me $50 to adjust the "timing" of
the window. I can't imagine this is too hard once you get the door
panel off. Thanks

Checked the Field service manual found here
http://www.turbo6.net/vqtech/ESM/Nissan/Maxima/
but could not find anything about the window timing in the el.pdf file.
You might want to download it and read through it.

The procedure calls for the removal of the door panel.

Close the window completely.
Press the reset button on the window motor assy.
Open the window manually (not using the auto function)
Release the reset button and make sure it has returned to the original
positon.
Close the window manually.
