Post subject: Power Door Lock

Hello all,I have a 98 F-150 just bought ot in January.
anyway it has Power Door Locks (Only from the Door Panel) not from the key
pad.well the Driver side Door lock quit working with the power Lock Feature
Passenger door works fine just wondering before i tear it apart,if anybody
knows whats wrong with it.

Yeah, it's broke. There are solenoids that pull and push the lock mechanism.
The solenoid in the driver door is burned out. There could be a problem with
the electrics, but I'm gonna stick to my guess that the solenoid is toast.
You're gonna need a voltmeter.
