Transmission problem

sometimes it works in reverse sometimes it does not.
is this the transmission itself or a sticky valve or sensor somewhere?

More like the need to adjust the reverse band. Get a repair manual to find
the location and proper procedure.

http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl818f.htm

i am going to try to find this i guess but first i must ask, is this inside
the transmission or on the exterior- i know it sounds like a dumb question
at the very least it looks like something must have to be removed
thanks

i am waiting for it to cool down at the moment

your best bet is replace the valve body and if you have a trans cooler
on it replace it and put a new filter on before putting on the pan the
valve body is a problem on then
