Plymouth Dakar Challenge

Paris Dakar? Pah, that's nothing. Bf and I have just completed something
much more impressive - the Plymouth - Dakar Challenge. The challenge was to
drive a car costing less than £100 from UK to The Gambia, where it would be
auctioned off for charity. We left on 26 December and arrived home on
Friday. We drove a 1989 Citroen BX estate - made it to the end, with the
car fetching £520 at auction (rather surprisingly!).

We did actually see a couple of the Paris Dakar vehicles though - damn
impressive they are too. I think that Group 3 of our challenge will be
seeing much more of them, as I believe they will be following the same route
for part of it.
