It appears that the founder of the site has gone AWOL and hasn't renewed
the subscription for the domain.

Is there any interest in me picking up the ropes on my italiancar
domain? - I'm pretty sure it's straightforward for me to set up a PHP(?)
forum, so I'm willing to give it a go if anyone still wants it.

Now that you mention it I can't remember the last time that Stuart
posted here. So I googled = Thurs, Sep 1 2005 2:37 pm

Hey Stuart. Hope things are OK.

Things are very much OK. Last time I saw him was in May at the Bristol
Italian Car Festival thingie.

He's recently sold his 156 V6 and bought a 156 GTA......

Do you have an email addy for him? - I don't appear to have one in my
address book, it would be handy for me to get in touch to organise an
alternative forum for us.

Yes I know that Stuart went to Bristol but didn't know about the GTA.
The address, which was posted here freely was
stuart alfa at aol dot com. The only address I have I'm afraid.
There is no space between stuart and alfa.

I used phpBB for a while but changed to SMF
http://www.simplemachines.org/ and found it prettier with more
features. Installation and updates are even more straightforward than
phpBB IMHO. SMF is free too. YMMV.

Feels completely different to me - it has a different feature set too.
You'd need to ask the developers for a definitive answer..unless
someone else knows.
