Apart from the fact that it takes nearly twice as long to drive as it
does to ride, you would be nearly right. I never even knew there was
diesel 75.

We never got 'em in the UK, which is why that one's LHD.

Only brought over in 2003, so it's likely to be a rot free shell.

I do get a feeling that buying it would lead to a divorce, though.

The insurance on LHD cars is horrid as well

It was dirt cheap for my LHD Spider.

Bloody awful for the Sprint. Spose the upgrade engine may have had an
impact.....

Same here - still have the 75 (which has just gone away for restoration)
and the wife has a 156, but my last 3 cars have been a Passat Turbo,
Fiat Marea 20v and another Passat.

I'm in the same position - we're not offered an Alfa as a company car -
I work for a German company so we're pretty much only given the choice
of German cars. I do around the same number of km per year as you do, so
taking a cash alternative to a company car isn't an option, either.
