You used the holes for the heater hoses. I can not do that without
sacrificing my heater. Remember the 61 has the heater in the top of the cowl
since the fresh air comes in throught the top of the cowl.

Paul,

No we didn't, those are new holes. Remember this is a 59 Lark and the
heater core is in the engine compartment.

My 61 has (well had) air, I'll see if I can get a couple of pictures
where the AC hoses pass through the firewall.

The locatin of the holes you made are in the location of the heater hoses on
the 61's. I didn't realize whn I looked at the picture that it was a 59. How
does the AC work? Does it cool OK?

Yes it works fine, the evaporator is a regular Stude unit, the rest is
new except for a Stude York type bracket.

Only problem with it is that even with the AC fan and a good radiator
the car gets hot when going slow in hot weather. I think it needs an
electric pusher fan in front of the radiator.

Electric fans are much less efficient when pushing. Do you have room to fit
it in front of your stock fan? Is your shroud in good condition with no
leaks?
