Reference my earlier post.. The TCC stuck open is the OBD II code. Car is 2001 Buick Century with 110000miles. Sorry about the wrong code. Thanks ernie
« The first thing I would do is change the transmission fluid. Maybe several times if it has never been changed. Also check wires and plugs. If it is original fluid I would NOT have a flush done. »

Just as my '01 Blazer (4.3L) was turning 127,000 miles today, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. After shutting the vehicle off and letting it sit for about a half-hour, the light did not appear again at the subsequent start up. I do have a cheapie OBD II reader which I bought a few years ..
