Post subject: Low reading fuel gauge

My 1998 CRV fuel guage has started to under read and will only rise to half way when full. Sometimes it goes up to a correct reading but most of the time after 200km it will stay on empty until the warning light comes on at 500km. Any ideas on where to start the fix
