What would cause my low fuel light to remain on, even after filling the tank? TIA

« Yeah. Gague works fine. Reads the gas levels all the way down to empty. When I fill the tank, it goes back to full. The light remains on all the time, at this point, that's all. AJPDLA »

I have a chevy tailblazer 2006 just recently the low fuel indicator light comes on even when there a full tank of gas. The empty to fuel needle also fluxuates between e ans f. My question is can it be easily fixed or is there major auto bill in my future. -- Message posted using More information..

how much gas is left usually when the low fuel light comes on? I havent mastered what my MPG is yet but Im broke and I need to make it home safely from work today....

« That will vary with vehicle and as has been said it can change. Simply run to the light then fill up. Then subtract the fill amount from your tank capacity, but I wouldn't assume using the last gal.. »

Does anyone know how much fuel is left in a 2007 Mitsubishi Spyder GT fuel tank when the low fuel light comes on? I'm not seeing good gas mileage (car is 2 weeks old) compared to my '98 Sunfire (to be expected but not this bad). I'm at 301 miles right now and I'm guessing I'm about 20 miles f..

I just purchase a 2003 Accord Coupe EX-L new from a dealer. They only had a 2004 manual for me. If anyone has an extra manual I would buy it...I have ordered one, but the order is messed up. My question. I have read the 2004 manual only says to refill when the low fuel light come on...My calcul..

My 97 Corolla HAS a low fuel light on the instrument panel, but with my recently aquired 98 Corolla doesn't have a light...or is it just burnt out? Can someone with a 98 verify that it does have Low Fuel light?

My Focus has a tripcomputer so the yellow low fuel warning light isn't active anymore. Is there a way to get it working again? My wife doesnt hear the beep when the 80km mark is displayes and never looks at that tripcomputer, but the yellow light she can't miss. Thibaud

The "Main't Reqd" light came on a few days ago along with the Low Fuel Light when i had a 1/4 tank left. I filled my tank and it was still on, i reset the Maint light by holding the Odometer reset button and turning the key on. The Low fuel light is still on and i can only gather that is has som..
« The light that you reset has nothing to do with your low fuel condition, but was a reminder to change your oil. Probably something with the sender unit contained within your fuel tank. »

I have a 2001 CRV and the Low Fuel light in the gas gauge won't work. I have checked the bulb and it works fine. The gauge itself seems to run slow, but it works. Any ideas where to start looking for the problem? Thanks
