I have found that the best LED bulbs have direct and side output
patterns.

Totally unreadable site--never, ever use a black background,
especially with colored text.

Nope. I teach CS in a college. My HTML students are told at the start
of the course that if they use a black background with colored text
they'll fail. Black works with big, white text, but not much else. It
hurts my eyes to try to read it.

But, its your web site, do as you wish.

Peter, your comment about Professor's site motivated me to hit on his
link and I found his site totally readable and legible. Professor may
be correct when he suggests that you may need a new monitor or at the
very least, to adjust your settings, if you actually find his site
"Totally unreadable". Several other posters have indicated that they
found the site difficult to read as well, so again, I wonder if they
have older monitors or perhaps just need to adjust their monitor
settings. Black backgrounds aren't my first preference for websites
either, but the site is perfectly legible on my 19" BenQ LCD monitor.
Just my 2 cents.

I checked out the site, it is very hard on the eyes. If a black background
was so good, why don't we use black paper and white ink? Fact is, the
contrast is too strong and hurts my eyes after a while too.

It comes with the age when you break over 50...

Nevertheless, if you aren't willing to help older folks, then that's your
bag. Ignore constructive criticism and lessons from all major websites...
you won't find a black page on any major website from microsoft to google to
ebay for good reason.

Now, that's not TOO arrogant, is it????

Telling me that I have to go out and purchase a new monitor just to read
the pitches on his website??????

Seems to me, if I were trying to get people to read my stuff, I would try
to make it as readable as possible........

.........not try to make them feel inferior for not having spent last
month's rent money on the latest hi-tech claptrap..........

I was just trying to hint that not everyone is using an old dim
monitor.
Suit yourself... as far the hi-tech claptrap (whatever that is)... I
think your still mad about that electronic fork you bought last month.
