Truck automatic trans - In the corner of a friend's tranny shop is a Detroit Gear tranny with an emergency brake band on it. He says it came out of a Stude truck and he rebuilt it long ago but the owner never came back. Did Stude trucks ever use the DG trans? He is getting..

I want to say it was Jack Breen (someone help me out here?) that had a
pickup with A/C, although his was a Champ as I recall.

Lee has the truck and the build sheet right now. If it came with factory
air, it's not the one that is now on the truck.

It has had some mods.... the A/C is NOT the factory unit and it has
been alternator equipped as well.

1955- sedans only (was a Novi trunk-mounted unit). Theoretically a/c wasn't
offered in Hawks until 1958 (though some '57 Goldies may have come with
factory air). Convertibles didn't offer a/c until 1962 (earlier Larks
didn't have enough room in front of the radiator for both the condenser and
the harmonic balancer).
