Basically the car has been sitting for 2-3 years since my mother got her new car, no one has been able to drive it... I recently got my licence and now the car is mine. It drove fine without any weird or obscure noises for about 3 weeks now. I regularly drive fast, and accelerate fast. Since the noise began I have slowed down a lot.
To me what the noise sounds like is something loose thats getting in the way of something else and knocking up against it. Like the sound when you put a piece of cardboard in a small fan and it hits against the fan. Thats pretty much all I can describe it as or how it comes across.
Here are some videos i uploaded yesterday so maybe you can hear what the noise is, hopefully.

The car idles perfectly, I rarely grind my gears, my exhaust is still in good condition, i'm doubting its the gearbox as the sound comes from the other side of the car, near the cam belt area.
2.0L Golf 3 engine in good condition, no oil leaks, etc.
Air filter is pretty dirty and need to be replaced, doubt its that though.
SO what should I do, and what do you think the problem is?
Car also needs a service.
Please reply with some kind of feedback :/
It's really embarrasing and the noise is loud...
