The head of DarCars dealerships, which sells about 8 different auto
brands, including Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Kia, and Volvo,
said none of the American companies has ever been nearly as quick and
responsive to a recall. In comparison, Ford "fixed" one problem with
transmissions shifting into drive or reverse due to vibration or door
slams by sending out warning stickers, rather than make any real
repairs (no, I don't excuse idiots who fail to use the parking brake). >> Stay informed about: Japans Toyota Motors reaches yet another milestone |

Toyota's recently been bringing out new products too quickly, but
recall rates aren't necessarily related to overall quality because
during the 1970s, the only companies that had zero recalls in some
years also had the worst reliability -- AMC and Chrysler. >> Stay informed about: Japans Toyota Motors reaches yet another milestone |

We had the same recall of sticky accelerators here in the UK, it was
entirely voluntary not mandated by anyone, dummy LOL
