Post subject: Hyundai Excel Sprint 1997 Glass Window

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help me. My problem is that passenger side door's glass window came out of plastic clamp. To explain it more you know how you wind the glass window up and down I opened the door from inside and found there are two plastic clamps between them this glass window sits. Now what is used to fix that glass on those plastic clamps. I got silicon stuff which is not that strong like original stuff that was holding that window there on that plastic clamp so please if any one have any clue what is it used to fix that window please let me know it will be great help. Thanks in Advance.

Had that problem on both windows of a previous excel. The reality is that the winding mechanism is broken. I spent hours adjusting screws, using sicaflex (the black stuff windscreens are put in with) and really in the end I had to get it repaired properly. You will probably find the window comes up unevenly which forces the glass out of the cradle. Seems to be a common problem with excels.
