Need Help! Car won't move at all, trans mission?

Recently the seal inside my accord went out and it was leaking oil. I had that fixed by a 'questionable' mechanic but afterwards my mother was driving it and according to her the gears just locked up.

I want to make sure that it is the trans mission before i replace it, but basically it won't move at all, in all the gears when i give it gas. When i do give it gas the speedometer reads and so does the rpms but the car just won't move. Now from what i understand the speedometer shouldn't really move at all if it was the transmission, and also i can put the car in neutral and push it. Shouldn't the wheels be locked if it was the transmission? I really don't know too much about cars, so that's why i posted here maybe someone can give me some possible solutions or is it in fact the transmission?

It was running fine until this guy fixed that seal problem then it sort of just went to hell.

Which seal did he replace? Was it in the engine or in the transmission?
Typically in a bad transmission the speedometer will NOT work, but I can't say with certainty that it's the case 100% of the time.
Did the car just stop going or did it lock up suddenly while driving along? Did it give any indication that there was a problem prior to this happening...shifting funny or otherwise acting weird?
When it's in gear and you give it gas does it seem like the engine is straining to rev up, or does it rev up easily and just not go anywhere?
