Post subject: Heater hose quick disconnect fitting

Is the Dorman quick disconnect fitting (part #800-403) the correct part to use to connect the heater core hoses to steel water lines on a 98 Malibu?

Heater Control/Blower Motor - I have a 1999 Malibu that has a five (5) speed blower motor. Only speeds 3 thru 5 work. I have tried replacing the entire control head but that did not fix the problem. Could the blower motor resistor be bad or could it be something else?
