Sad I have a 1500 4x4. removal of heater core is a pain. HELP! have the
dash apart and can see were its at but can’t seem to get to it? What
am I suppose to do?)

The year would help, as '94-'97, '98-'01, and '02+ are all different. You
say you have the dash apart? You need to remove it completely. Then, after
disconnecting the A/C and heater hoses from the engine side of the firewall
(after first recovering the refrigerant charge, and draining the coolant),
you then disconnect the heater box from the passenger side of the firewall,
remove it, and take it apart to get to the heater core.
