Pulled the hatch lever to open it & "cable" broke or came loose. It
will not release the lock so need to open with the key.

Whats involved to replace it? BIG thanks!!!!

You might get lucky here.

Pop up that little tab at the top of the plastic trim for the release
levers. Remove the screw underneath and pull the trim off up and forwards.
(The plastic tab will probably break off. Not much you can do.)

Take a good look at the hatch release lever. You'll probably discover that
with a flashlight and a pair of pliers you can persuade the cable end back
onto the lever, then kinda bend stuff up so it stays in place.

From now on, just be gentle when letting go of the hatch release lever and
the cable will probably stay connected even with a bit of rust in that
area.
