Post subject: Grand Cherokee 2002 Ltd 2.7crd Fault code P0702

Our jeep has gone into limp mode , no reversing lights or parking sensor, no lights at the side of the gearstick.
The P0702 apparently means Transmission control system -electrical
Our local mechanic cant get his computer to read whats wrong. But I have managed to retrieve the above code by turning the ignition on & off 4x
Has anyone got any idea what this could be (other than new control system)
Thanks
