I don't recall anyone making that statement. There are a lot of things
you need government for, like law enforcement and national defense.
And a lot of things that can't be done effectively by private
enterprise. I mean, how do you charge for use of a street?
And there are things that private companies usually just screw up,
like education and health insurance.

Did you read the linked article? It says, we're the government and we know
what's best for you.
The link is tongue-in-cheek (I hope), but it says the government knows
what's best.

I LOVED this line when I read it:
http://drhelen.blogspot.com/2009/03/us-government-is-set-to-offer-
online.html
"Government is good at one thing: It knows how to break your legs, hand
you a crutch, and say, "See, if it weren't for the government, you
wouldn't be able to walk."
Also:
http://www.samhsa.gov/economy/
Government support for your emotional distress.....When does a NEW
"economic post traumatic distress disorder" diagnose comes out making
you incapable of working & paying your bills? >> Stay informed about: Government Motors unveils it's first model! |
