The Gas Pump

Hope I can get some advice here. Lately while I been at the gas stations, I have been having trouble filling up my tank. The gas pump decides to "lock up" after getting a few cents worth of gas into my tank,and its a constant issue. with this issue it takes me 4 times as long to fill up my tank...

I know that I must not insist filling the tank when it's full. Unfortunately for some reason the gas pump wasn't working correctly and I did it again. I already had issues around 50000 km with erroneous values on the DTE only, however the fuel gauge was OK. The DTE recovered by itself after I fill..

Okay...so my low fuel light goes on and I drive up to the gas pump. Fun, fun, fun. My fuel door WILL NOT open. This car is a 2005 S60...about 6 months old. I called the dealer. The service department is not open on weekends...always helpful. THey didn't know what to tell me and basically sa..

Recent problem happened around the same time as check light going on. When refueling, the gas pump will shut off as if my tank is full, and sometimes fuel will come out the filler tube. I've tried different angles of the nozzle and fueling very slowly which helps some, but it takes forever to fill..

My son just purchased a 2003 Impala and is having a problem when trying to fill up on gas. The gas pump nozzle will shut off after 2-3 gallons even though the fuel level is still very low..We have tried filling up at several stations all with the same result. « Don't over think it right away. Try pulling the nozzle out of the tank slightly, an inch or so should do. Steve »
