GM crate engine problems

I am looking for anyone who has had problems with GM and their crate engine and how they handled them. I am having a problem where GM refuses to honor their warranty on the engine because of foreign objects in the engine, objects that had to come shipped in the engine but did not create a problem for 3,800 miles. If anyone has anything they can help me with I sure would appreciat it. Thank you.
