Post subject: Fuel Pump Fuse

http://Toyota.autoboardz.com/96-Explorer-start-fuel-ftopict215205.html (96 Explorer won't start no fuel)
It ran yesterday, today it just cranks. Fuel pump relay clicks when key on so I assume it is good, fuel pump fuse is good. I pressed the fuel pressure diagnostic port open while cranking, no fuel came out. Must not be fuel pressure but why?
« That is the same symptom my friend's explorer had when the crankshaft position sensor was out of position. Since the engine is not turning (cause the sensor does not see the turning) then the fue.. »
« Also check the fuel pump cutoff switch. It could have tripped. »

My Cadi blew it's fuel pump fuse I noticed it was a 30 amp and relized it was suppose to be a 10 amp so I put a 10 it blew then put in a 30 it lasted a few minutes but then blew again.I was wondering is this an electrical short or a ground problem or a fuel pump relay gone bad?If anyone know's ple..

I have a 2000 740i Just a couple of days ago the fuse located back where the battery is for the fuel pump keeps blowing. Does anyone know what could be causing it? Thanks in advance!!!!! Jeff
« You have a short. Either the power wire between the fuse and the pump motor is worn through, or a winding in the motor itself is shorted. The motor could be drawing a heavy load which requires mor.. »

My 1989 F-150 has no power to the fuel pump. A test light, and volt meter both confirm this. I've replaced the fuel pump relay, and my Haynes manual mentions a fuel pump fuse. Nothing in the fuse block has anything to do with the fuel system. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ..
« Very strong chance that the problem is with the inertia switch. I don't know where it is on your truck, but it's a very common cause of your symptom. CJB »
« I believe its in the right side kick panel area. a white button poking up above the top of it. Whitelightning »
« Thanks men for your answers. However, I did test the inertia switch by disconnecting it, and jumpering the connection, with no results. Is there a better way to test the inertia switch? Whitelightni.. »
« Jumpering the inertia switch is as reliable as it gets. The fuseing for the fuel pump is a fuse link. The fuse link is blue, 20ga. and is located at the starter relay. The fuse link is the 12 volt f.. »

I've got a 94 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L, front wheel drive. I was going down the highway when the fuel pump fuse blew. I immediatetly put in another fuse and it blew after turning the ignition on, but before cranking the engine. I towed it to the local Tuffy's and they swapped out the fuel pump (I ..

My 2004 A4 quit running while driving on the freeway. Fuel pump fuse is ok, plenty of gas in tank, cranks normally. I cannot hear the fuel pump "prime" when I turn the key on. I disconnected the fuel line, cranked the motor but, no fuel at the disconnect. Any thoughts, anyone?
« against all advice, something compelled Flyingspur , to say: Magnets on the fuel line. Do you have one? -- Life is too short to play cheap guitars. »
