I'll put my vote for anyone that has worked their way up from the bottom on
their own. Some of my picks are Larry Dixon, Cory Mac, Doug Herbert, and
Doug Kalitta. I take the side that Kalitta came up on his own, but do think
Connie gave him good steering, nothing wrong with that. Schumacher, Lucas,
Bernstein, Todd and Will are not on the list.

Perhaps everyone should pick just 1 name from the following "official" list:
http://www.nhra.com/drivers/index.asp

Regarding Force, I guess I've lost interest in him over the years. No doubt
he's down to earth, school of hard knocks, and all the rest. And definitely
not because he's won too much. I'm just getting tired of the senseless
babble and wish he'd mature just a wee bit.

Lot's of babbling, lots of excess emotion, lots of shmoozing to the sponsors
(borderline media-whore), lately all the dramatics whenever Ashley runs
(when John's been eliminated)...I still wouldn't change a thing.

He's a true blue-collar champ and the best thing going for the sport right
now...until Ashley (whoot) get's a year or two under her belt. He's to NHRA
what Earnhardt was to NASCAR...be thankful we've got him...

Yes to all that, it's not that I don't like him, I do. Yes, he has done a
lot.

I just lose interest when he speaks, it's like a cartoon rant or sideshow.

Other TF picks I named are blue collar also. For example, Dixon, and he
gives a very intelligent interview and can converse well. If I was to chose
someone to introduce to someone else that had never seen or encountered drag
racing, I would definitely choose Dixon, Cory Mac, etc.

My favorite TF driver is Larry Dixon.
He's always personable and his love for the sport and it's history is
evident.

I don't think you can ever curb enthusiasm, and I believe that is why he
does babble on. He is overflowing with enthusiasm.
