It's been a few years since I ran this thread and figured why not do it
again?
One pick only, who is your favorite current Top Fuel Driver?
Mine is Doug Kalitta because I love how he races all out (either its tire
smoke or a great run).

The "King of the Northwest"- Jerry Ruth.
Yep, there's a rumor in there... >> Stay informed about: Favorite Top Fuel Driver |

Currently driving it would be Larry Dixon.

I've only been following NHRA drag racing for about one and one half years
now. I would say Doug Kallita because I like how he acts when he wins
and loses - the same. He's one cool customer. But I have to give my
vote to John Force. I have never seen a sports person with so much
charisma.
I think John Force is one of the greatest sportsmen in history. >> Stay informed about: Favorite Top Fuel Driver |

Doug Kalitta is a jet pilot by trade.
John Force is a truck driver by trade.
Which would you want flying your plane and which would you want driving
a truck?

I love Force as well. If anything I love the fuss he makes over my
now eight year old son who has gone with me the last few years.
However, the subject is favorite top fuel driver.
I am going to go with Larry Dixon. I watched his dad, and I guess he
might have been there too, at Lions in the late 60s and early 70s.
There was a race in Atlanta in the late 90s that got rained out on
Sunday. It was pretty obvious to everyone that it was not going to go
off. Both Cruz Pedregon and Larry Dixon were the only ones out in
front of the their haulers waiting for people to come by for
autographs. >> Stay informed about: Favorite Top Fuel Driver |

I like Kalitta, but he is a jet pilot because his uncle owns a flying
service. Force was a truck driver so he could feed his family. He
comes from humble roots. Force didn't start out on third base.
Kalitta did. I like people that earn their way.

No. Doug Kalitta owns his own flying service. Doug Kalitta Charters.
Owned by Doug Kalitta completely. Kalitta Jets is a company which
specialized in the rebuilding of jet transport engines and is also
owned by Doug Kalitta. When a fallen soldier is flown back to his
hometown, more often than not he's in one of Doug's jets and the jet is
often flown by Doug himself. Next time you see one of those in the
news, have a look at the plane. If it's a bizjet (and it usually is) it
says 'Kalitta Charters" on the cabin. Doug Kalitta is as much a
self-made man as Connie Kalitta is.

The point was that Doug Kalitta acts like he acts because he's got the
stuff to be a jet pilot. Quiet and nothing fazes him.

Really. Do the research and you will see. Doug Kalitta has all the
ratings and certifications for everything he does. Connie was flat ass
broke when Doug started his businesses. Banks and airlines don't trust
snot noses like Morgan Lucas. Doug Kalitta made it happen himself. >> Stay informed about: Favorite Top Fuel Driver |

I kinda like Dougzilla, too, but there is something a little missing
there. He comes off as kind of a prick in media interviews (not that
there's anything wrong with that) but seems to just be missing that
little bit of championship....whatever.....

I'd have to go with Doug Kalitta as well as my choice. One thing I
like about him is he was successful as a sprint car driver before his
TF racing. Doug just loves racing.... >> Stay informed about: Favorite Top Fuel Driver |
