Greetings,

I posted this on this on the Accura list but did not get a reply, so I
figured I try it here.

I have a 2000 3.2TL w/the Bose Stereo System. Every time I turn on the rear
window defroster, the FM reception gets real scratchy. I realize the
antenna is in the glass, but has anyone else experienced this? It gets to
the point that I pop in a CD until the window is cleared.

Thank you for any info on this.

Much Respect,

Genghis

99 Prelude also has the antenna etched on the rear window. The service
manual shows a rear window defogging coil (coils, resistors, capacitor)
located in a small ventilated plastic box under the rear shelf area. Maybe
one of the coils shorted or the cap opened, but I would have thought AM
reception would become noisy.

J,

Thanks for replying.

AM sounds fine, regardless of rear window defroster operation; it's only the
FM that's affected. (Odd, huh?)

I'll have to take a look for connections, etc in that box.

Much respect,

Genghis
