What is it with the FIA and tires? Anyone else think that it's ridiculous
how they regulate tires so much?

Why do WRC teams have to use Pirelli and why aren't they allowed to use
run-flats?

A lot of the changes that have been done with the rules over the last
years is done to reduce cost. I hope more will be done to reduce cost,
which I belive will make the sport more interesting again, especialy
with better private teams being able to make it.

I hope there will be new rules regarding complexity and cost of
elements like gearboxes (most expensive part of the cars now) and
diff's. I overall complexity of the cars have to be reduced.

Banning the run-flats also encourages the drivers to stay on the road
and not cutting the corners so much - which is IMHO a good thing.

I also think on-stage chaging of tires is quite exciting. I'm looking
forward to the rallies that are the hardest on the tires....

I have walked parts of stages and am amazed by the amount of debris, big
sharp stones, etc. on the stages. I would imagine that Acropolis is much,
much worse, I've not been there.

Who wants to see drivers and co drivers changing a tire? For me, it's more
corporate sponsorship interfering in the sport.

Just out of interest, how many manufacturers are competing this year, or
last year? I know the answer BTW. Food for thought.
