I have a 1991 Acura Legend that periodically fails to start. The seems to have on humid weather days. I thought that maybe there is too much pressure in the fuel system, so I loosen the fuel tank cap and quite a bit of pressure escape, but the engine still failed to start. When I allow the car sit until later in the day or into the evening it starts right away. What's the possible problem? >> Stay informed about: Engine Won't Start

I. Care, No, the engine doesn't try to start, it just spends over-and-over. I'm not sure about spark, I'm away from home or wrenches at the moment. I'm not sure about fuel pressure. But. when I took the fuel cap off there was a lot of pressure in the tank, does that type of pressure mean anything in termof fuel system pressure? >> Stay informed about: Engine Won't Start

The fuel injection runs at a much higher pressure than that.(if the fuel pump is getting turned on by the main relay.)
