My 306 1.4L engine mixes fuel and engine oil as such gives out a thick black smoke from the exhaust....can some body please help me with advise on how to solve the problem... once and for all.

this may seem like dumb question but what is the recomended oil for the 2.5 v6 i have read in some places not to use synthetic oil in these motors(?)! i thought i was a little engine savy til i have read this please any info would be great. thankyou

Having been to the local salvage yards and coming up empty I thought I would try this group. My oil pan is leaking in various spots but not the gasket. Can anyone help me locate one? I live in upstate New York. Thanks. Tony C.

How much % of engine oil is able to drain through the removed plug? How close to 100% will it be? Is it practical to dain&fill the engine twice during the oil change?

I just helped a friend change the oil in his 2003 Toyota 4Runner equipped with the 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 engine and we took pictures of the process. It should be the same procedure for all 2003 to 2009 4Runner vehicles with the 4 liter. The manual and oil filler cap recommend using 5W-30 but he's been us..
