The early electric cars were created because the automobile was in it's
infancy and liquid fueled engines (gasoline, benzine or alcohol were all
used) were primitive, hard to start and required manual cranking as
electric starters hadn't been invented yet.
The electric car was clean, easy to use and didn't require cranking, the
ladies liked them because of that, but they WEREN'T cheap, a Baker
Electric cost about $2600 in 1914, about $52,000 in todays money!

If you want to turn your car into an electric go right ahead, it's still
a semi free country and you have the right to do so, but be aware it's
not going to be a very good car (short range, and if it has heat and AC
that's going to make the range much less), and it won't be either easy
or cheap.
And whatever you do don't do business with a spamer!
