Post subject: New Elantra Radio problem

Hi all --
Have a 2009 Elantra which has radio antenna in rear window. AM reception is almost non existent. FM is half OK - just very directional.
Rear window has been tinted with a 'metallic foil'. I'm suspecting the foil is causing the problem - has anyone experienced such a prob?
Thanks --- Phill
