This is how I reset mine to get the stereo recognised again - some of the
same voodoo might work.
Disconnect the battery negative lead and leave the positive attached to the
battery.
Disconnect the connector - the connector is behind the panel on the right
hand side of the passenger foot-well. The panel comes off by removing the
single x-head screw and then it pulls off.
Wait for ten seconds and re-connect the connector.
Touch the negative lead to the positive battery terminal for 5 seconds (I
know that sounds a bit scary but it doesn't seem to cause a problem) and
re-connect the negative lead to the battery.
That did it for me but I've also heard that the sequence sometimes works
differently - someone suggested:
Remove -ve battery lead, disconnect the connector in foot-well, touch -ve to
+ve terminal, reconnect -ve to battery *then* re-connect the connector.
