I have a 2000 Isuzu Trooper 3.0 litre diesel jeep. It has stopped and won't
re-start. I have been told it may be low oil pressure. Can anyone give any
information as to how I may solve the problem?

Seems to be a chronic problem with these diesels, I've changed the
battery, had many services, still the same hassle, esp in winter.

Especially in winter? Maybe your diesel fuel is too thick? Might mix it
with some kerosine.
Or else the compression is not high enough? Then you might first throw in
a bit of engine oil in the cilinders so there's less air leaking away
during the compression stroke.

Wow, I'm an American, but I never realized Isuzu built ANY jeeps.
Troopers, Rodeos, Amigos, Jackaroos, P'ups, yes. But jeeps? I thought
they were built by American Motors, and eventually Daimler-Chrysler...

Outside the US "Jeep" is often used as a generic term for any 4x4
vehicle.

You won't find any Landrover owners referring to their 4x4 as a "jeep"!

first of all you must use 5w30 fully syntetic oil and change the 2 oil filter.
the dip stick must read full after start alow 3 mins for oil to settle these diesels wil not run well or at all if they are low on oil.then you can check the oil pressure by first remove the intercooler opening up the oil pipe with a 27mm spanner at the rocker cover and down below the fuel filter, remove the pipe and make sure the 2 o rings stay in place if not she wont start .then turn her over you should get alot of oil from below if you dont get alot of oil replace the oil pressure control valve located on the fuel rail under the rocker cover its the chrome one closest to the front of engine you wil need a 9/16 spanner or wrench or whatever you guys call it.if this does not give you oil pressure there is another valve located down on the back of the high pressure pump very easy to get to if you remove the wheel dont go at it from the top.remove fuel pipes and oil pipe out of the way 24 socket and then you can access the switch/ valve with a 19 spanner for the small narrow nut and 1' 1/8 spanner for the large one you will the the big one from the top, thats the most common problems with these suckers.if it doesnt start let me know.
