Does anybody have recommendations for an aftermarket diagnostic device. I'd
like to read any failure codes that come off the computer memory. I'd
rather not buy one from Honda only because of expense. Any thoughts would
be appreciated.

Why buy one when you can go to any auto zone or shucks part store and get
the codes checked for free!

That's great advice for people that live in a town or city that has a Auto
Zone store or other auto parts store that checks the codes for free. There
is no such store in some towns. Another problem is when the car runs so
poorly that you can't drive it to a auto parts store that checks the codes
for free. In those cases, it's great to have your own code
reader--especially if it has a feature that allows you to reset the engine
light after the problem has been fixed. I only wish there was an auto
store in my town.

If the cost is not significant I'd like to buy my own. Seems like at least
one of you has some experience with them. If so what are some features to
look for or that are unnecessary?
